TUHONO TA
TĀ MOKO
Cultural identity carved into the skin, grounded in whakapapa.

THE KAUPAPA
Kimball Roberts
Ko Kimball Roberts tōku ingoa. I whakapapa to Ngāti Kahungunu and Falealili, Samoa. I specialise in ta moko and tatau, with four years of experience as a self-taught artist grounded in cultural integrity and whakapapa.
My craft extends beyond the skin to custom engraved mirrors and limited edition prints, where Māori storytelling takes on new forms. Through Tūhono Tā, I aim to create art that provoke reflection—both literal and spiritual. Whether through the depth of a mirror etching or the refined detail of a print, each piece serves as a medium for cultural preservation and a testament to the enduring power of Māori creative expression.
